Janice joined Alteris team as a senior paraplanner. She moved from Indonesia to Australia to continue her studies after high school at the University of Wollongong, where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy in 2015. An internship as a junior paraplanner in her second last semester at university turned into a casual then permanent role, and now Janice has worked as a paraplanner for more than seven years. 

“I never imagined I would work in the financial services industry specifically, and thought I would be an accountant someday (especially because it was my major), but I have never had exposure to that industry,” says Janice.

Her typical day as a senior paraplanner in the Alteris office involves meetings, writing up plans (Statements of Advice), and training. For Janice, Alteris offers an abundance of support – not just professionally through training and induction, but also personally, with team members always available to help each other.
