Adviser Spotlight: Meet Gabriel Fernandes

We’re pleased to introduce Gabriel Fernandes, who’s joined our Sydney office as a Senior Financial Adviser. Gabriel brings a warm, client-focused approach to his work and is passionate about helping people feel confident in their financial decisions.

“The opportunity to help is what I enjoy most,” he says. “Whether it’s guiding someone through a major life decision or working alongside my team, I find real purpose in making a difference.”

Gabriel’s career in financial planning began in the banking industry, where a close friendship with a financial planner sparked his interest in the field. That friend later became his mentor, helping shape Gabriel’s values and inspiring his client-first mindset. Like many experienced advisers, he’s driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact in his community and takes pride in building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

For Gabriel, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing clients achieve their goals and knowing he’s played a part in their journey. He believes trust is built through consistency, empathy and clear communication, qualities that often lead to long-term relationships and referrals. His approach is guided by a simple philosophy:

“Treat people the way you want to be treated.”

Life outside the office

When he’s not working, Gabriel loves to travel and explore new cultures. Interestingly, while he enjoys discovering new places, he’s not a fan of flying, a fact that tends to surprise people! His passion for travel reflects a broader curiosity and appreciation for different perspectives, which he brings into his work with clients.

Gabriel also enjoys supporting his family’s interests and staying active in the community. Whether it’s attending local events or cheering on his favourite soccer team, he finds joy in staying connected and engaged beyond the office.
