Adviser Spotlight: Meet Tracey Briggs

For Tracey, financial advice is all about building strong relationships and helping clients reach their goals.
With a passion for connection and a strong belief in the value of trust, Tracey brings warmth, empathy, and experience to every conversation with her clients
Tracey’s career journey
After completing her Commerce degree in South Africa, Tracey began her career with a stockbroking firm, which was later acquired by Investec Bank and became part of its wealth management division.
“That gave me exposure to the full spectrum of financial services. I always knew I wanted to work in finance, but what really appealed to me about financial advice was the opportunity to work closely with people—not just the numbers. I thrive on that connection.”
Ten years ago, Tracey made the move to Australia, a major shift both personally and professionally.
“Immigrating meant starting over. It felt like I had to rewind my career and earn my stripes all over again. But I’ve always believed that if you’re willing to put in the hard work, opportunities will come, and they did.”
Helping women feel more confident with money
As a woman in the finance industry, Tracey understands how important it is to create a safe, welcoming space for her female clients.
“A lot of women feel unsure or vulnerable when it comes to money, and many tell me they feel more comfortable speaking with a female adviser. But I’ve seen a shift, more and more women are stepping up, asking questions, and taking control. It’s great to see.”
Her advice to women seeking greater financial confidence and independence?
“Don’t be afraid to get involved in your finances. Your life won’t change by chance, it changes when you take that first step.”
